Why is Self Care Important?
Life is busy! Taking care of work, friends, family, children, health and financial emergencies, and everything in between, it can be challenging to make time for and take care of ourselves. We often put others' needs ahead of our own, which usually does not work out in the long term. Not taking care of our physical and mental well-being can lead to burnout, depression, anxiety, resentment, and many other negative outcomes. Self-care is vital to our health! According to a Southern New Hampshire University study, engaging in a self-care routine reduces anxiety, depression, and stress, improves concentration, minimizes frustration and anger, increases happiness, improves energy, and more. Self-care reduces heart disease, stroke, and cancer from a physical health standpoint.
Self Care is not one size fits all, and the Strategic Wellness & Self Care Level 100 Course will help you create a Strategic Self Care Plan that is realistic and achievable. The course is free; you only need a cell phone or computer to watch the videos. You can do it at your own pace. Once you have completed the course, you will have a personalized self-care plan that you can follow and receive a certificate for your accomplishment!
